Dear candidate name:

Americans for the Preservation of American Culture is a political action committee whose purpose is the preservation of traditional American Heritage & Culture. We are inviting you to respond to this questionnaire which is being sent to all candidates for the June 19 - 10th Congressional District special election. Your response - or lack thereof - will be distributed to our membership and supporters.

Please return this questionnaire to the address shown above or fax to 706-374-1631 by June 5, 2007.

The National Park Service is a taxpayer funded agency of the federal government responsible for numerous federal properties including many sites of historical importance. In recent years the facilities of many of these properties have increasingly been used to present a political agenda rather than meeting their stated purpose of preserving an historically significant part of American culture for future generations.

Question 1:  Do you support the purchase of historically important properties with taxpayer dollars to preserve them for future generations?

___ Yes

___ No

___ Other, __________________________________________________

Question 2:  On battlefields and other historical properties associated with the War Between the States do you support a true history, devoid of political correctness, giving fair and equal treatment to the memory and service of the men engaged in the historic struggles?

___ Yes

___ No

___ Other, __________________________________________________

Question 3:  Many of the cemeteries maintained by the Veterans Administration contain veterans who fought for the Confederate States of America. Should these veterans be honored by flying the flags they fought under at these cemeteries?

___ Yes

___ No

___ Other, __________________________________________________

Question 4:  Prior to 1993 the United Daughters of the Confederacy was given a “symbolic patent” on the Confederate States of America First National Flag. The renewal of this patent was challenged and defeated on the floor of the US Senate in a frenzy of political correctness. Should this legislation be renewed?

___ Yes

___ No

___ Other, __________________________________________________
